Description
Shrew Whisper String Recurve
With the right string you can transfer up to 20% more energy to your arrow.
Developed by Ron LaClair and Henry Bodnik – Shrew Whisper Strings offer a strategic blend of three different high-performance materials coupled with precise construction to guarantee that the highest percentage of stored energy generated by the super-powerful Shrew Bow limbs is transferred into your arrows! These strings increase your arrow speed and penetration performance.
Even though Shrew Whisper Strings are fast and efficient, not only do they increase the speed, penetration, and performance of your Shrew Bow, they live up to their name beautifully because they are extremely quiet – even without string silencers.
Shrew Whisper Strings for Recurve Bows are 4″ shorter than the bow length. In addition, the upper loop is made slightly larger so that it can easily slide down the upper limb when un-stringing the bow.
The Three Important Benefits of the Shrew Whisper String
- Maximum Efficiency and Arrow Speed
- Increased Power and Penetration
- Whisper Quiet – No Hand Shock

We recommend our Shrew Whisper String for all of our Shrew Bows and all other traditional bows that can be shot with high-performance, low-stretch bowstrings. Every single Shrew Whisper String is carefully handcrafted at Bodnik Bows’ selected string manufactory.
When choosing your bowstring, please note that due to the slim limbs for all Shrew Bows (Classic Hunter II, Super Shrew II, Lil Favorite) a Shrew Whisper String for Longbows is required. All Shrew Bows are built according to the ATA string length standard (String length = Bow length – 3″)
